At each of our Special Needs Training seminars, top physicians in China come together to help orphanage staff and foster parents better understand a variety of pediatric medical issues. Additionally, provincial adoption officials work with orphanage staff to help them learn how to submit the adoption paperwork of children with special needs. These seminars help equip orphanage staff with the knowledge to best help children with medical needs to grow, thrive, and have their best chance to receive families of their own.

Special Needs Manual

LWB developed our Special Needs Manual to supplement our Special Needs Training seminars. These educational manuals feature brightly colored photos and explanations of a variety of pediatric medical needs. Each section of this manual was reviewed by doctors and specialists in China and the U.S. who have experience with each of these special needs. The manual includes information on 60 medical special needs and has been made available in English on CD-ROM.
