Since then we have provided surgeries and other medical care for over 1,700 children in 23 provinces in China. We fund many types of surgeries and treatment, including: Heart surgery Cleft lip and palate repair Colorectal repairs Tumor and neurologic issues General surgeries, such as hernia repair and intestinal issues Club foot casting using the gentle, progressive Ponseti method Preemie care Orthopedic care and evaluation Our surgical costs include: A discounted rate on surgery with one of our top rated partner hospitals in China (prices vary for similar surgeries due to region) Travel costs for the child and a caregiver Daily fees for the caregiver staying with the child to provide a sense of security A small surcharge to pay our China hospital managers who provide us with updates and pictures on the child’s condition while in the hospital. If you sponsor a surgery, you will receive: Updates as your sponsored child’s surgery is funded Notification when your sponsored child has been moved for surgery Progress reports during your sponsored child’s hospitalization Photos and updates at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months following discharge from hospital Medical Philosophy Our goal is to provide the highest quality care to orphaned and impoverished children throughout China.
