Medical Program

Love Without Boundaries began with a group of adoptive parents determined to heal one small boy in need of heart surgery. Hundreds of people around the world sent donations to save his life, and the LWB Medical Program began. Our Medical Program has undergone tremendous growth as we continue to touch children all over China. To date, we have provided surgeries to more than 1200 children in 20 provinces. Many of these children have found their forever families because of their surgeries.

Surgical Plan:
We perform many types of surgeries and we do our best to put together the best treatment plan for each child. Typical costs for these surgeries, including travel fees, caregiver costs, and hospitalization charges are:

Heart surgery: $5,000
Neurosurgery: $3,000
Anal Atresia: $2,500
Cleft Lip Surgery: $1,000
Hernia Repair: $500

Program Philosophy:
We believe in giving every child the best care, before and after surgery. We try to find the best place for a child to recover after the surgery is performed, with many of our children entering foster care. After surgery, we continue to follow-up on children. Our ultimate goal is to have adoption paperwork submitted for each child. By helping a child with a surgery, you give them the very best chance possible of being chosen for adoption. There is no greater gift than the love of a family for a child.
