XiaoXian is a rural city located in northern Anhui province. It is an area rich in mineral resources, including coal, marble and limestone. Agriculture and livestock are the main industries.

The XiaoXian Foster Care Program began in October 2006 and has grown to include more than 30 children. Many of the children in this program have minor special needs such as cleft lip, cerebral palsy, and limb differences. The ages of the children range from a few months old to up to 8 years old. We are happy to report that many of our foster care children have been adopted both domestically and internationally.

Sponsorship costs are $35 a month and all the children have two sponsors, enabling full coverage of program expenses. Each sponsor receives a monthly report and pictures of the child they are sponsoring.
