Home > Foster Care > Locations > Loudi, Hunan Loudi is a city located in central Hunan Province and is considered small by Chinese standards. The drive time from Changsha, the provincial capital, is approximately two hours. The Loudi foster care program started in March 2005. Currently there are ten children in this program, ranging in age from two months to ten years old. Over the three years that this successful program has existed, approximately 100 children have received the love of some amazing foster families until they were adopted. The post-adoption stories we have heard are a great testament to the loving start these foster families give the children. The sponsorship cost for this program is $35 per month. Each child in the program has two sponsors, enabling full coverage of program expenses. Sponsors receive monthly reports, which include the child’s basic information, developmental updates, and new photos of the child.
