Home > Foster Care > Locations > Huainan, Anhui Huainan is a large city in central Anhui province. It borders the provincial capital of Hefei to the south and is noted for its energy resources. Huainan is a major production center for coal as well as an important industrial city of the province. The Huainan Foster Care program began in 2008.  There are currently 26 children placed with loving foster families. Both non-special needs and special needs children participate in this program. We hope to accommodate more children in the future as there are over one hundred children currently residing at Huainan SWI. Huainan is the home to one of our "Believe in Me" schools. Because of this, we have a established a strong partnership with the SWI and look forward to seeing the children receive individualized care in a foster care home. Foster care greatly enhances a child's quality of life and allows them the best opportunity to reach their potential. In order to cover the expenses of the program, we have two sponsors per child. Each sponsorship costs $35 per month and sponsors receive reports and photos of their sponsored child each month. For more information about the foster care program in Huainan, email here.
