Home > Education > Education Locations > Kaifeng, Henan Kaifeng is in the Henan Province of China. Located on the Yellow River, it is in the middle of the eastern part of China. Kaifeng has a 3000 year history as the capital city of China for parts of seven different dynasties. No wonder tourism is a major part of the economy as visitors explore Kaifeng’s cultural treasures. LWB's Education program at Kaifeng has students ranging from kindergarten to 13 years old, who live at the social welfare institute or in foster care. These students attend public schools and face the challenge of being responsible for their own study habits. We are proud to see in them a determination to work hard and learn from both their achievements and their disappointments. This program is very fortunate to have Stephanie Wang, LWB's Henan regional director, live in the area.
